Check out Ghana’s probable line up against Ethiopia, Ofori returns, Kamaldeen to start

The Black Stars will host Ethiopian in their opening 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The all-important fixture will kick off at 19:00GMT (7:00pm) on Friday, September 03, 2021.

CK Akonnor’s men are winless in their last two matches across all competitions having recorded a draw against Ivory Coast and a defeat to Morocco.

However, CK Akonnor is expected to name a strong team to face the Walia Ibex with Richard Ofori taking over his number spot after missing the team’s last four games due to injury.

Reading FC duo Andy Yiadom and Baba Rahman are expected to flank Ofori in the right-back and left-back positions respectively with Daniel Amartey and Alexander Djiku as the central defenders.

In midfield, experienced Mubarak Wakaso will partner Iddrisu Baba who has been excellent for the team in recent games.

Stade Rennais new boy, Kamaldeen Sulemana is expected to be handed a starting berth on the flanks as well as Jeffrey Schlupp who has been absent from the national team for several months.

Captain, Andre Ayew and his brother Jordan Ayew are expected to lead the attack for the Black Stars tonight.
